Welcome to Freedom Friday! This week we went inward for answers and utilized our intuition to avoid disappearance. Today we are going to discuss solo-boxing.
How many times have you felt beat up and defeated, only to realize you were your own abuser? This may sound harsh, but it is a reality that many of us can own up to.
We all have an inner-voice, either cheering us on or tearing us down. Are you conditioned to be your own worst critic? While self-analysis can be beneficial, be aware of harmful criticism. For some, this may be a form of perfectionism, while for others it is a lack of confidence. Either way, it can be very damaging to the spirit. If you have been overly critical, ask yourself the following:
Regardless of your answers, take the boxing gloves off! It’s time to recondition. You are worthy, deserving, and refuse to abuse yourself. You are unique and have the ability to decide your own “good enough”.
We each add value and dimension to this shared space. Eliminating self-imposed blows will strengthen you. Falling down, making mistakes, and taking risks will enrich your character. Learning as we go gives us opportunities to help others. Our individual vibrations affect the vibration of the whole.
Remember, believing in self is powerful and creates a strong foundation (root chakra) for action (sacral chakra)!
If there is a current situation that you would like to explore, I offer card readings, revealing the energies of your topic of choice. This gives you a chance to explore options of release, freeing you from solo-boxing!
Until next time…
Peace and Blessings!
Welcome to Wisdom Wednesday! Earlier this week we discussed going inward for answers, and realizing that you have the abilities to manage life’s ups and downs. Today we will continue internal exploration, with focus on disappearance.
It may seem odd to think of “disappearance” when focused on self discovery. The truth is that many of us use disappearance as a tactic when we lack confidence. So knowing that confidence, or lack of, is the foundation of our disappearing acts, let’s start here.
Have you ever had an idea that you didn’t follow through with, only to regret inaction later? Of course, we all have! There are numerous times we want to take action, but doubt our own abilities. Why?
Today, I encourage you to revisit a situation where you wanted to do something, anything, but lacked the confidence or courage to follow through. What caused you to doubt yourself? Did you have a similar experience in the past, or did you feel you lacked support?
Now, reasoning for inaction aside, I want you to ask yourself this, “What’s the worst that could have happened?” Aside from possibly bruising your ego, was there any real reason not to try? On the flip side, consider how well things could have turned out.
As we learn to connect with ourselves, we begin to recognize that we are supported by self, Source, and the Universe. This also allows us to become more forgiving of ourselves, which in turn allows us to see whom we truly are without judgment. The result is confidence, as well as being okay with making mistakes. Remember, we are human. There is no way to disappear from that. And one of the gifts of being human is intuition…we simply have to learn to trust it.
When we have an intuitive knowing, we are probably right on target! Begin to trust yourself…start actualizing your dreams.
Until next time…
Peace and Blessings!
Welcome to Meditation Monday! Because of the major shifts that occurred during October 2012, this week we are going to discuss self realization. With this topic in mind, today's focus is going inward for answers.
During times of change, it is important to connect with self, finding balance in what may seem to be rough waters.
As I’ve written in previous blogs, meditation is one of the best tools for self connection. One thing that’s important to remember is that meditation can be done in various ways and in different segments of time. I personally recommend starting each day in meditation, creating quite space to prepare yourself for the day ahead. During these morning meditations, I give thanks for all of the blessing in my life; current and those to come. I also set intentions for the day and send love into the Universe, recognizing the power and importance of love. For Reiki Practitioners, this is also a good time to meditate on the Reiki Principals. This daily practice creates a foundation for self connection.
Once we have stepped out into the day, life happens. Some elements of the day will be wonderful, and some may be challenging. There is a flow, and we have to learn to ride the waves.
1. We must practice being present. We face numerous distractions that remove us from what is going on right in front of us. This can be internal and/or external noise. Perhaps it is a form of escape, or simply lack of attention. Either way, when you recognize that you have “checked out”, take a deep breath and acknowledge exactly where you are – in the now.
2. We have to reconnect. Recognize what is going on and how you feel about it. How are you connected to the present, or why are you attempting to disconnect from it? Go inward and notice where you are feeling. Where are your feelings being stored and processed? We often hold tension in our backs or stomachs, but you may be surprised to feel your thoughts and emotions in other areas. To locate your truth, and to gain better understanding of self, self-connection is key. From here, you can determine what needs to be addressed and what needs release.
3. Remember to step out of ego and avoid judgment. We tend to beat ourselves up for thoughts and past actions. This does not help; it hurts. Holding on to the past and living in criticism binds us to negative energies that hold us back. To move forward, we have to learn to be compassionate and gain understanding. In this, we learn, and through our lessons we find resolve. By finding resolve, we hold space for growth and create deeper levels of love for self. All of this illuminates our answers, as we dissolve our mess by letting it go, lovingly.
These steps may be repeated numerous times throughout each day. From one moment to the next, we are disconnecting and reconnecting. With practice, you can remain connected to yourself with more ease. You will then expand, recognizing your connection to all that exists.
Today, begin to strengthening your foundation. Creating a solid connection to self will allow you to go inward without fear, realizing that you have the abilities to manage the ups and downs. You gain more control of your life. You will also find answers, realizing how you participate in chaos; either adding to it, or transforming it into calm.
This week we are going to continue discussing self-realization, with focus on disappearance. Join me for Wisdom Wednesday.
Until next time…
Peace and Blessings!
