“Goodbye is merely a transition into new possibilities!” – Yolanda
Welcome to Meditation Monday! This week we are going to step out of the lower vibrations we tend to feel when situations or relationships are ending. As we release, we can step into higher vibrations, welcoming change and new possibilities!
Every Tuesday evening, my friends and I meet for dinner. We have allocated this time as “family” night, catching up and sharing stories of our previous week. This is a night of decompression, allowing each of us to just be, without expectations! Tomorrow, we are saying goodbye to one of these friends, as he uproots from San Diego to replant in Portland. While I will miss him, dearly, I know “goodbye” is creating a new beginning for my dear friend. Because of this, I am able to experience this ending with a heart full of love and happiness.
Today we are going to discuss physical endings, with the understanding that energies remain with us. There are several situations and relationships that we would prefer to keep, indefinitely, and sometimes without change. The problem is that this would prevent growth, either for us or for the other person(s) involved. Then there are endings, such as death, that cause heartache because of physical detachment, but again, energies remain. We are able to feel the energies of people and/or situations even after the physicality has gone. In every aspect of life, physical endings are inevitable, so it’s best that we learn how to deal with them as positively as we can.
One way to cope with endings or change is by gaining new perspective. This is where we allow ourselves to step out of physical attachment, only feeling the energies of the situation or relationship. In doing so, we are able to appreciate what we experienced (the energetic exchanges), realizing that the ending is only partial. Of course, we may still feel sadness, but we can also find it within ourselves to see the blessing of having the experience, no matter the length of time.
· Remember, change is constant and endings are inevitable, but both lead us into new possibility and provide opportunity for growth
· Hold on to the energy of joy by keeping the “good times” in memory (recycle smiles - energies do not “end”)
· Stand in gratitude, simply because you had the opportunity to experience such energetic exchanges
As we discuss each Friday, energies are ours to accept and release. If we choose, “goodbye” is merely a transition into new possibilities, or a way of acknowledging a physical ending. This week we are going to continue discussing endings, with focus on the idea of completion. Join me for Wisdom Wednesday.
Until next time...
Peace and Blessings!
