“Energies are ours, to accept and release…” – Yolanda
Welcome to Freedom Friday! This week we explored our wounding and discovered how recovery empowers us. Today we are going to discuss how to release thoughts of tomorrow, finding comfort in the now.
Many times our thoughts are consumed with - “What’s next?” or “What do I have to do tomorrow?” We tend to think planning ahead can save us a lot of headache, although how often do things go exactly as planned? More often than not, we spend today, planning tomorrow, only for tomorrow to have plans of its own.
The problem with thoughts of the future is that they remove us from the present. Another problem with living in the future is that it can cause anxiety, sending our minds into an endless loop of questioning.
Sometimes it’s in our best interest to just let tomorrow be what it is going to be, when it arrives. As we know, the future depends on the decisions we make in the now – so shouldn’t the present be our focus?
Today I encourage you to live in the now. Enjoy each moment as you live it…because once the moment passes, it cannot be relived. To do this, give yourself a moment to connect with your body. Close your eyes and feel your energies settle into your heart chakra. Then, bring your attention to your thoughts, allowing yourself to focus on your breath and feel it travel through your body. Think of nothing but this very moment; be present. When you open your eyes, try to stay engaged with today. Be present in your interactions and with yourself. If you catch yourself worrying about tomorrow, take a breath and refocus.
If there is a current situation that you would like to explore, I offer card readings, revealing the energies of your topic of choice. This gives you a chance to explore options of release, freeing your space to enjoy the present!
Until next time…
Peace and Blessings!
