“Intention is the Soul of Action!” – Yolanda
_ Welcome to Meditation Monday! This week's meditation is about uncovering our truth and illuminating our intentions through our actions.
There are many times when we fail to reflect our true intention through action. Whether it’s ego, or our neglect, actions are often misread because our intentions become lost in reactions that are not genuine.
Have you ever wanted a particular outcome, but something like pride got in the way? Can you think of a time where you were very aware of what you intended, but you acted in a way that went against the very thing you wanted? Today we are going to tap into the soul of our actions; intention. It is important that we acknowledge what we truly want, and act in a way that will produce the results we seek.
When we discuss wants, common topics are love, money, career…things we feel will enhance our lives. These may be things we currently have and want to improve, or perhaps we are seeking something brand new. Whatever the case may be, we have to clarify and reveal our intentions in order to help ourselves obtain the very things we desire. We have to align our actions with our intent.
For the following exercise, grab a pen and paper. Before we begin, we are going to be still. Give yourself a moment to go within and identify a current want.
1. Be honest with yourself, and write down your intention.
2. Write down what you are doing to make this happen, or how you’re working towards it.
3. Write down what you are doing that may be going against what you intend, or what blocks you may be creating between you and this intention.
4. Write down the actions you can take that will mirror your intention.
The key to all of this is truth. We have to be honest with ourselves in order to reveal our intentions and manifest our wants. We also have to have a clear intention in mind to avoid acting against ourselves. The greatest hurdle of all is overcoming our pride, ego, and/or fear. When we diminish these energies, we are brave enough to act in truth.
Another key component is acknowledging and accepting that if our intention includes another person, such as intending to build a relationship, we should also be clear of the other person’s intention. No matter how clear we are of our intent, or how closely we align our actions, some things will not come to fruition because our intentions are not the only factor. Regardless, we learn in every experience, and we will discuss acceptance in a future blog.
As you journey through this week, keep your truth at the forefront. Be aware of what you intend before you act. Make sure you are aligning your truth with your actions, avoiding troublesome reactions that will not serve your purpose.
If there is an intention you would like to explore, revealing possible blocks and ways to move forward, I offer readings specific to intention setting. To schedule a session, visit the Distant Sessions page of my website.
This week we are going to continue discussing intention, with focus on abundance. Join me for Wisdom Wednesday.
Until next time...
Peace and Blessings!
