"Energies are ours, to accept and release..." - Yolanda
Welcome to Freedom Friday! This week we explored the importance of seeing the lessons within our circumstances, and the gifts of remaining impartial. Today we will delve into the power of journal writing, which is a great tool for releasing the energies we collect day to day.
Whether we realize it or not, the energy that we give off and the energies we receive have an influence on our state of being. We are receptors, picking up energetic vibrations through our senses. Some of these energies are in the environments we expose ourselves to, while others are exchanged through our communication.
Did you know that the words we speak and exchange carry energetic vibrations? Even the words that dance in our minds, never to be spoken, are energetic forces and all have an impact on our conscious and subconscious minds. Our goal today is to release the weight of these energies, our thoughts, by letting them escape through our writing. This will allow us to process without outside influence, tapping into our own knowing, and broaden our scope of perspective. In this, we can find answers, identify and move past blocks, and find freedom in clarity. Ultimately, our journal writing will act as an energetic, dumping ground.
First, take a moment to identify what has been weighing heavy on your mind. When I say “heavy”, I am not suggesting that your focus has to be “heavy” in nature, but that it is a particular topic currently taking precedence in your mind.
Next, ask yourself what you need to know or see in this situation. Before you begin to write, set an intention that you will reveal thoughts that have not yet surfaced. Be firm in your intention, and believe it to be true. Finally, write freely, without questioning or judging what comes to you. Trust that it will make sense in the end, and only stop writing when you know you’ve released what needed to be released. Yes, you will know, and you may be surprised by what you’ve uncovered.
In addition to general release, you may find that this exercise works well when you’re questioning a situation, or trying to make a decision. If you feel that there is more to the story, but you can’t seem to tap into it, schedule a Journal Reading. In these sessions, I pull one Color Wisdom Card to reveal what is going on around you, energetically, specific to your topic of choice.
Until next time…
Peace and Blessings!
