Welcome to Wisdom Wednesday! Today we will explore the joy that can only be found when we dare to take a risk.
There are times that we can see the prize, all we need to do is reach out and grab it! Sounds easy, right? Sometimes it is, although there are times that the “prize” is just an idea, without a guaranteed outcome. This is where we have to either follow our gut feeling and take a risk, or let go of the prize by failing to leap into action. Taking a “blind leap of faith” is often the only way to obtain the very thing we desire. The question: What are you willing to leap for?
When we are confident, we tend to take bold actions without second-guessing ourselves. We get things accomplished, never really questioning the process or end result. We know what we intend to do, and we know how to get it done. We know it’s in our hands. The challenge is when we doubt our own abilities, or talk ourselves out of our pursuits by living in the “what if” zone. Well, if this is where you are, let me ask this: What if taking a risk will bring you joy?
As you know, life is a series of decisions and choices. We can choose to stay exactly where we are, whether we like it or not, or we can choose to change our circumstances. This is usually an internal debate when we are dissatisfied, unhappy, or just feeling a need to refresh or revive our life-force energy. Whatever the case may be, when we push past ourselves and dare to leap in a direction that may bring us joy, we risk landing on our feet. That’s right, we risk getting exactly what we want when we actually try to obtain it. This reminds me of one of my mother’s favorite sayings, “Nothing beats a failure but a try.”
When we don’t try, we remain in the “what if” zone, but now our what if’s shift from, “What if it doesn’t work?” to “What if it did work?” Unfortunately, in this scenario, we risk creating an air of regret and may have robbed ourselves of our own joy. Remember, choice is yours.
Another secret to joy, besides the occasional leaps of faith, is taking care of you…your wellbeing. When we eat well, sleep well, and maintain self-care, we raise our energetic vibrations. We become more balanced. Our energetic wellness has an impact on what we draw into our space. This is also true on a mental level. Manage your thoughts, as they manifest on the physical level as well. Try your best to maintain positivity on all levels. When you feel good, you may be more confident in taking an occasional risk. You can only land if you leap.
Until next time…
Peace and Blessings!
